“Indian Warrior” Pradeep Singh in Professional Boxing Title Fight-India set to make indelible mark on global professional boxing-New Delhi, August 25, 2011: Pradeep Singh, currently the best Indian professional boxer, is set to do the country proud on one of the biggest stages in international professional boxing as he takes on Zhang Yong of China on the 26th of August for the WBC Asia Middleweight Title. The fight titled the BRUTE FORCE 16 Dragon Challenge will take place at the prestigious Coburg Town Hall in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Pradeep, or the “Indian Warrior” as he is better known in professional boxing circles is currently based in Australia but has an international reputation as the most talented professional boxer to come from India. Ranked amongst the best 15 middleweight boxers in the world, he has already been the Pan Asian Boxing Association and Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) Middleweight champion and has an incredible fight record of 18 wins with 8 knock outs and a solitary loss. His OPBF title fight was telecast live into millions of homes on the Fox Network and was considered by several leading experts to be the fight of the year.

Expressing his thoughts on this upcoming challenge, Pradeep had the following to say, “I will be fighting Zhang Yong for the first time. I have heard he is extremely fit, but I know that my boxing skills are better than his and that I punch harder and faster than him. I am pretty confident that with my skill, power and speed I will do the country proud by winning this title.”

Pradeep was formerly managed by Infinity Optimal Solutions Private Limited (IOS), which has a proven track record in boxing. IOS is currently managing 5 time world boxing champion MC Mary Kom and have previously managed Olympic medalist Vijender Singh and have also organized the Challenger Fight Night, which was a unique boxing event that witnessed some of India’s best amateur boxers take on some of the world’s leading amateur boxers in an open amphitheatre in Delhi. About Pradeep:

Born in Sisai in the state of Haryana, Pradeep is son of a former National Middleweight wrestling Champion and brother to a former National Middleweight Amateur boxing Champion. Picked from a bunch of talented boxers by a visiting Australian scout, Pradeep was then taken to Australia, where he now resides, with the aim of training him to turn professional. He was voted “Best Boxer 2006” at the prestigious Victorian Trainers League Professional Boxing Awards.
