Sunanda Pushkar death: Trial begins on Feb 21 :

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor face trial in the death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court commits the case to the Sessions Court. The court also dismisses Subramanian Swamy’s plea seeking to assist the court in the case. The next date of hearing is 21st February.

Tharoor has been charged under sections 498-A (husband or his relative subjecting a woman to cruelty) and 306 (abetment of suicide) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), but has not been arrested in the case.
