Jimmy Shergill and Sunil Grover were in Delhi for the promotions of their upcoming Punjabi film ‘Vaisakhi List’.
Sunil Grover who soar to the success with the popular T.V character ‘Guthi’ on ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ is leaving no stone unturned in earning the right stature for himself. After appearing in Bollywood films like ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Gabbar is Back’, this droll is all set to make Punjabi audiences fall for him with his upcoming film ‘Vaisakhi List’. When asked about his experience of working with Punjabi cinema , he said “I had struggle very hard to reach where I am today. It’s like a dream come true. I had so much fun working with Jimmy, he is such great actor and I have learnt a lot from him”
“The subject of the film is such that any actor would love to do that. I am lucky that Smeep Kang chose me for the role..” he added.
Jimmy Shergill who garnered the female fan following with the film ‘Mohabbatein’ with his cute and innocent looks has done many Punjabi films before and the latest being‘Vaisakhi List’ where the dapper is a prisoner on the run.
The poster of the film has Jimmy and Sunil all dressed in Jailers attire on a scooty, where the female lead Shruti Sodhi is sitting in the middle, dressed in a bridal avatar that creates quite a curiosity among the audiences.
Shruti Sodhi, the main lead of the film said “It wasn’t difficult working with the punjabi language. I have that bond with the punjabi films because my first film was punjabi”
The story of the film seems to be different where typically prisoners try to elope from the prison, these two men after their successful sneak off from the jail tries really hard to get back behind the bars.
Smeep Kang, the director of the film said “After they elope from the jail, they gets to know that the government has made a list to release few prisoners and they had just one day to come back to the jail, so the film is about their struggle to get back behind the bars”
