Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard & fiance Abraham Williams tied the knot
Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard is now officially off the market after she and fiance Abraham Williams tied the knot Thursday at a historic site in Kahaluu.
Gabbard, 33, exchanged vows with Williams, 26, in a traditional Hindu ceremony — with a Brahmin acting as the officiant – but with a Hawaiian twist since they said their “I do’s” in Hawaii.

Gabbard in her personally barefoot and in a red silk sari and prayers, live music and a meat-free dinner for nearly 300 guests, not including her fellow kamaʻaina President Obama, who was invited but is currently busy with his job running the country.
“It’s going to be a Hawaiian-style Hindu wedding,” Gabbard told the magazine in a candid interview that’s in stark contrast to her previous stance on her relationship status updates in the digital era.
“Both Abraham and I are generally kind of private people,” the 33-year-old combat veteran told her hometown paper in February after spilling the beans on how she met her 26-year-old fiance (he shot video for her political campaign and proposed less than a year after they started dating last April). When news of their engagement broke in January, Gabbard wouldn’t even reveal Williams’s name.
But now with the wedding (no honeymoon, she’s got to get back to work) happening, Gabbard has been happily spilling the deets, like her suspicion that Williams, who is also a musician, will surprise her with a song at their ceremony.
“He’s my best friend, my surfing buddy and my partner in everything,” said Gabbard, who will head back to Washington the Monday after the wedding.
