 Multidisciplinary Participatory Process

PRESS CONFERENCE-DELHi2050

Dear
Mr. Sagar,
I am Mar
iyam Zakiah, writing to you on behalf of arch i platform. We are organizing a Press Conference on 18th April to launch Step 6 of DELHi2050.
Delhi 2050 is a research exercise to fundamentally rethink the future of city by presenting alternate scenarios in a multidisciplinary participatory process.  It is the brainchild of arch i platform, New Delhi. A not for profit trust founded by Dutch architect, Anne Feenstra and four young architects from school of planning and Architecture, where he is a visiting professor.

This is a phased exercise. The process began in December 2009 as a collaborative multi-disciplinary exercise. In the first phase we developed four thinking models for alternative urban futures that toured the city of Delhi. The work of the second phase was shown at the International architecture biennale in Rotterdam last April. We are now embarking on the third phase (step 6)of the process.

Step 6 : in collaboration with Outokumpu and Ambuja Cements Ltd., an interactive DELHi2050 website will be launched on 18th April. Following the launch of the website, a knowledge tour will be conducted in five top institutions in the city. The information collected from the user response on the website and knowledge tour will be analyzed by experts and the outcome will be presented in a Public Splash in the last week of May
