Thai soldiers detained over Mekong attack

Nine Thai soldiers have been detained in connection with deadly attack on two cargo ships in the Mekong River earlier this month. A police spokesman in Thailand said soldiers from an anti drug task force turned themselves in . China demanded an investigation after the bodies of thirteen Chinese crew members were found floating near the Burmese border in an area notorious for drugs smuggling.
