Explosion in Afghanistan kills ten

Today in Afghanistan at least ten people were killed and dozens other injured when a bombs hidden inside an oil tanker went off in Bagaram district of the northern Parwan province this morning. Official sources said scores of people had gathered around an oil tanker to collect fuel that was leaking from the tanker.

As the people massed around the tanker, a bomb inside went off killing ten people and injuring 35 others.

Media reports say there were two blasts.

The first one struck a hole in the tanker and when a crowd gathered to collect leaking oil from the tanker the second bomb went off causing big fire.

Hospital sources said some of the injured suffered serious burns and were in a critical condition. The site of the explosion is about 40 kilometers north of Kabul.
