Harmeet Kahlon’s (71-70-69) exceptional short-game powered him to the top of the leaderboard on the third and final day. Harmeet, who was overnight tied fifth as he was four strokes off the lead after round two, began round three on a high by converting a 15 feet birdie putt on the first hole.

The 40-year-old Chandigarh-based professional then pitched it to perfection from 40 yards out on the third as the ball rolled in to the hole for an eagle. He dropped a stroke on the fourth but bounced back with a chip-in from the fringe for a birdie on the ninth.
Kahlon, an Arjuna Awardee, made two birdies and two bogeys on the back nine to end the day with a creditable 69. He ended his four-year long title-drought by sinking an 11-footer for birdie on the 18th.
“My short-game was brilliant in the third round. I was also hitting it well through the week. I have won a tournament after a long gap and hopefully this win will give me the much-needed impetus for the long season ahead,” said Harmeet, who has been a winner on the Asian Tour.
Arjun Singh Chaudhri (71-68-72) finished runner-up with a five under 211 total. His final round of even par 72 included three birdies and three bogeys. Chaudhri continues to lead the PGTI Feeder Tour Order of Merit for 2011 as a result of his second place finish at the third event of the season in Phillaur.
