ECE announced poll itinerary in five states

Chief Election Commissioner S.Y. Quraishi told at a press conference in Delhi that seven-phase polling will be held for Uttar Pradesh Assembly on 4th, 8th, 11th, 15th, 19th 23rd and 28th February next year.
The terms of the Legislative Assemblies of Goa, Manipur, Punjab,
Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand will expire as follows:
Goa 14.06.2012
Manipur 15.03.2012
Punjab 14.03.2012
Uttar Pradesh 20.05.2012
Uttarakhand 12.03.2012
Candidates would
be required to open a separate bank account and incur their election expenses
from that very account. Comprehensive instructions for the purpose of effective
monitoring of the election expenditure of the candidates, including formation of
flying squads, video Surveillance Teams in the constituency, involvement of
Investigation Directorates of Income Tax Deptt. etc. have been separately issued
by the Commission and are available at ECI website < www:eci.nic.in >.
